How to Buy the Perfect Jumpsuit

Lately, I’ve been gravitating to towards pieces that can make you look put together in a few easy steps. Last week was the maxi dress and today I will talk about the jumpsuit. I know you probably are thinking about the negative aspects of wearing one such as having to be almost half naked if you need to use the restroom or how difficult is to find one that fits perfectly. On the other hand, they can cause such an impact that the times you wear them can be limited, but I have found that if you get creative this can be a lifesaver versatile piece. Today I will give you three tips to get the perfect jumpsuit.

Últimamente, he estado gravitando hacia piezas que me hacen ver arreglada fácilmente. La semana pasada fue el vestido maxi y hoy hablaré sobre el enterizo. Sé que probablemente estén pensando en los aspectos negativos de usar uno, como tener que estar casi medio desnudo cuando tengas que ir al baño o lo difícil que es encontrar uno que te quede perfectamente. Por otro lado, pueden llamar tanto la atención que quizás no te atrevas a utilizarlo varias veces seguidas, pero he descubierto que si te vuelves creativo, esta puede ser una pieza versátil que te salvará cuando estés en apuros. Hoy te daré tres consejos para conseguir el enterizo perfecto.

Picture how you could style it.

If there is only one way you can style it (which is very rare) don’t buy it. Look for one you can wear in different occasions and style in different ways. For instance, I can wear this one with heels or wedges for a summer event, with a black turtleneck during autumn or winter, with a sheer top, underneath a denim jacket and so on. This is not only a beach appropriate item. If I get creative I can take it to multiple scenarios. Do the same when buying one, whether it is a black jumpsuit – that we all should own – or a colorful one like the one pictured on this post.

You should always try on everything before buying it but I know we all get lazy from time to time when we go shopping. An item you have to avoid for all cost being lazy with before buying is a jumpsuit. All body types can wear one but you need to make sure you get one that fits you perfectly. This means that you don’t get a camel toe when wearing it and that it hugs you in all the right places. I recommend that if you are on the tall side, go one size up. Jumpsuits are usually made in a one-fit-all mold using what they believe is the “standard” sizing of their customer. That’s why the waist, length, and many other things will fit differently from people to people so make sure to try it on.

Given that you will not wear it every day, go for one that will survive time. It will be easier to have a versatile jumpsuit that doesn’t restrict you into any specific trend. Now if you find one that is following a current trend, don’t be afraid of getting it. As long as you do the first two steps mentioned above you’ll make a great purchase!
