Hello guys! As temperatures drop down in the north, here in the tropics they remain pretty much the same. Nevertheless, stores bring us fall and winter fashion, and if you are like me you probably have one or two pieces (or five) that could be worn in chilly weather. I do wear them when I travel, but the rest of the year they remain stored in my closet until my next trip. Because of this, I began to see how I could wear some of these pieces here in Panama. These are some of the ideas I came up with:
Faux Leather:
This is a trend that doesn’t go out of style. One of my favorite right now is the faux leather short. It gives you the fall vibe and you can totally pair them with a sweater for a cute date night look.
Denim:
Lightweight denim pieces are perfect for the tropics. Here in Panama we love wearing jeans, but sometimes the weather makes it impossible to endure a whole day in them. Switch your jeans for a denim skirt or culottes. These two pieces are perfect for the tropical weather and will balance off the warmer top.
Midi skirt:
Midi skirts have been one of the biggest trends of this year. They are light, they can be flowy and you can find them in a wide range of prints and colors. For the ultimate New Yorker look, add booties or sneakers and head out!

¡Hola chicos! A medida que las temperaturas descienden en el norte, aquí en el trópico se mantienen prácticamente iguales. Sin embargo, las tiendas nos traen moda de otoño e invierno, y si eres como yo, probablemente tengas una o dos piezas (o cinco) que podrían usarse en un clima frío. Los uso cuando viajo, pero el resto del año permanecen almacenados en mi armario hasta mi próximo viaje. Debido a esto, comencé a ver cómo podía usar algunas de estas piezas aquí en Panamá. Estas son algunas de las ideas que se me ocurrieron:
Cuerina (faux-leather):
Esta es una tendencia que no pasa de moda. Uno de mis favoritos en este momento son los shorts en este material. Te dan un look de otoño y puedes combinarlos totalmente con un suéter para un outfit lindo para una cita.
Denim:
Los pantalones de mezclilla livianos son perfectos para los trópicos. Aquí en Panamá nos encanta usar jeans, pero a veces el clima hace imposible soportar un día entero en ellos. Cambia tus jeans por una falda de denim o culottes en este mismo material. Estas dos piezas son perfectas para el clima tropical y se equilibran con la parte superior más cálida.
Falda midi:
Las faldas midi han sido una de las mayores tendencias de este año. Son ligeras, pueden ser fluidas y se pueden encontrar en una amplia gama de estampados y colores. Para lograr el mejor look neoyorquino, agrega botines o zapatillas y ¡listo!
