Hello guys! I have always been drawn to color, but lately, I have been more attracted to colorful pieces than before. That means risking it and creating outfits I normally wouldn’t. I might not take risks with my makeup (for now) but I do with my outfits. This time I wanted to create something fun that could be worn to go out day or night. The result was an outfit with yellow, orange and purple hues. This could have gone wrong in so many ways, but it didn’t! Want to know why? Continue reading:
1. I made one of the pieces the focus point.
In this case, the skirt was the focus point. I wanted it to be the blazer but because of the different colors, the skirt has it was easier to make it the center of the outfit and play with it.
2. See what colors the main piece has.
This is not the first time I tell you about this rule when mixing colors. I saw mine had orange, yellow, green and if you see it up close, there is much more. I used that to see what to wear.
3. Keep it in the same color family.
When playing with color, another helpful tip is to keep it in the same color family. In this case, everything but the skirt is in the yellow color family.
4. Don’t be afraid to have fun.
To be honest the only thing that would have stopped me from creating an outfit like this one is fear. Fear of it looking bad or that people wouldn’t like it. Remember that the only person that has to love your outfit is you! If you follow the first three tips, there is little chance that you will go wrong so just risk it!

¡Hola chicos! Siempre me han atraído los colores, pero últimamente me atraen más que antes. Eso significa arriesgarme y hacer combinaciones a las que no estoy acostumbrada. Puede que no tome riesgos con mi maquillaje (por ahora) pero sí con mis atuendos. Esta vez quería crear algo divertido que se pudiera usar para salir de día o de noche. El resultado fue un conjunto con tonos amarillos, naranjas y morados. Esto podría haber salido mal de muchas maneras, ¡pero no lo hizo! ¿Quieres saber por qué? Sigue leyendo:
1.Hice una de las piezas la pieza central.
En este caso, la falda era la pieza central. Quería que fuera el blazer, pero debido a los diferentes colores, la falda lo fue ya que por sus tonalidades era más fácil convertirlo en el centro del atuendo y jugar con él.
2. Ver qué colores tiene la pieza principal.
Esta no es la primera vez que les cuento sobre esta regla al mezclar colores. Vi que la mía tenía naranja, amarillo, verde y si lo ves de cerca, hay mucho más. Usé eso para ver qué ponerme.
3. Usa la misma familia de colores.
Al jugar con color, otro consejo útil es dejarlo en la misma familia de colores. Aquí predomina la familia del color amarillo.
4. No tengas miedo de divertirte.
Para ser honesta, lo único que me hubiera impedido crear un atuendo como este es el miedo. El miedo a que se vaya a ver mal o que a la gente no le guste. ¡Recuerda que la única persona que tiene que amar tu atuendo eres tú! Si sigues los tres primeros consejos, hay pocas posibilidades de que te equivoques, ¡así que arriésgate!
