Hello guys!
On this post lets talk about some quick travel tips for Portugal. I definitely have to go back. My body was so tired that I wasn’t able to enjoy the city. Also, my phone memory was full, so there were so many places I wasn’t able to photograph but will forever be in my mind. A few of the things I look forward to doing again are:
Lisbon
Where I stayed?
I stayed with a friend. There is a Yeah Hostel in Lisbon, that if it is like the one in Barcelona I totally recommend it!
What to see?
- Go to Belem to eat the original Pasteis de Nata in Pastelaria de Belem
- Walk Alfama
- Go see the Jeronimo Monastery
- Rua Augusta Arch and Commerce Square
Where to eat?
- Time Out Market: The best chefs from Lisbon are here providing an affordable version of their restaurant to the public.
- Docel Pastelaria: First place I went to when I got there and they have one of the best hamburgers I have ever tried.
- Pastelaria Versailles: The environment is the cutest and the food is delicious. Make sure to see the recommended dishes.
- Pasteis de Belem: This is almost a tourist attraction. If you want to eat the original “pasties de nata” make sure to stop here!
- Amorino Gelato: One word – MAGNIFICENT! And the price is even better!
Transportation
I put 5 euros in the train ticket and then fill it up as we went by. We took Uber a few times, that if you are travelling in a group the trip would be same price as with public transportation.
Sintra
What to see?
Take one of the palace tours. You’ll get to see one of the many you can find in the area. Each palace charges entrance fees so choose before going which one you want to see. Also try to make sure you go the whole day to Sintra since you can spend several hours in one palace. I chose the Pena Palace, which entrance was 14 euros for the park and palace, but there are many others you can go to.
Transportation
The train from Lisbon was 5.50 euros both ways.
Once you get there you can take on of the hop on and off buses. There is the famous one by City Tours (the red ones that are everywhere) and there is also a local service that is a little bit cheaper. I took that one. It was 15 euros.
Where to eat?
Espaco Edla: We went here since they gave you a good meal for 7 euros.

Definitivamente tengo que volver a Portugal. Mi cuerpo estaba tan cansado que no pude disfrutar de la ciudad. Además, la memoria de mi teléfono estaba llena, por lo que hubo tantos lugares que no pude fotografiar, pero siempre estarán en mi mente. Algunas de las cosas que espero volver a hacer son:
Lisboa
¿A dónde me quede?
Me quedé con unos amigos. Hay un Yeah Hostel en Lisboa, que si es como el de Barcelona, ¡ se los recomiendo totalmente!
¿Qué hacer?
- Ir a Belem a comer los Pasteis de Nata originales en Pastelaria de Belem
- Caminar Alfama
- Monasterio Jerónimo
- Arco de Rua Augusta y la Plaza de Comercio
¿A dónde comer?
- Time Out Market: Los mejores chefs de Lisboa están aquí ofreciendo una versión asequible de su restaurante al público.
- Pastelaria de Belem: Todo es delicioso! No olvides probar las croquetas de bacalao.
- Docel Pastelaria: El primer lugar al que fui cuando llegué a Lisboa y tienen una de las mejores hamburguesas que he probado.
- Pastelaria Versailles: El ambiente es el más lindo y la comida es deliciosa. Asegúrate de ver los platos recomendados.
- Amorino Gelato: Una palabra – ¡MAGNIFICO! ¡Y el precio es incluso mejor!
Transporte
Puse 5 euros en el boleto de tren y luego lo llené si era necesario. Tomamos Uber varias veces, que si viajas en grupo, el costo del viaje sería lo mismo que el transporte público.
Sintra
¿Qué hacer?
Agarra uno de los tours de los palacios, ya que hay muchos en el área y todos son espectaculares. Cada palacio cobra tarifas de entrada así que elige antes de ir cuál quieres ver. También intenta asegurarte de ir todo el día a Sintra ya que puedes pasar varias horas en un palacio. Elegí el Palacio de Pena, cuya entrada era de 14 euros para el parque y el palacio, pero hay muchos otros a los que puedes ir.
Transporte
El tren de Lisboa fue de 5,50 euros en ambos sentidos.
Una vez que llegues allí, puedes comprar tiquetes para uno de los buses “hop on and off” . Existe el famoso “City Tours” (el rojo que esta en casi todo el mundo) y también hay un servicio local que es un poco más barato. Tomé ese. Fueron 15 euros.
¿A dónde comer?
Espaco Edla: Fuimos allí ya que tenían buena comida por solo 7 euros.
