No time, no see! Haha, I think that’s how it goes! Anyways, I am back and I mean it for real now. After months of planning and having posts on hold, it was time to go back. I cannot believe that 3 months have passed since the last post! Undoubtedly many things have been happening, but that will be the subject of another post. Today I bring you the first of many. We will talk about a piece that I love due to its versatility and comfort: The T-shirts.
The advice I have for you today is simple, just like this piece. Let’s get started!
When shopping for it:
Choose one made of 100% cotton. These will last you for a long time and will look of good quality. Just because it’s a basic piece, it doesn’t mean we should go for whatever we find. It is better to choose a good quality one so you can wear it more than once without it losing its shape. This is a piece that you will use a lot (you can see me in one almost every week!) Quality will play an important role.
When styling them:
The sky is the limit … the truth is that there are almost no limits with this piece. Take the opportunity to combine it with pieces that scare you or you do not know how to combine such as printed or colorful pants and skirts.
These also give you the opportunity to create fun looks whether you wear it in an unexpected way with dresses or similar pieces.
Accessories will be your best friends. These will make your t-shirt look not “so basic”.
The only occasions where you should be more cautious about whether you use them or not are:
1. To work: This depends on where you work. If your office has a more liberal dress code, go for it! Pair it with a blazer and you’re good to go. If you work in a corporate environment, it is preferable that you avoid them.
2. Formal events: This point does not need much explanation. If the invitation says the dress code is formal, avoid them.
3. This point is more about when you should stop using them. When they look very misaligned, that is, the neck is stretched and it has already lost its shape, it is time to say goodbye. This will only make us look bad and will not leave a good impression.

No time, no see! Haha creo que así va el dicho! Anyways, he regresado y quiero decir que ahora si con los posts usuales. Después de meses de planeación y tener posts on hold ya era hora de regresar. No me creo que han pasado 3 meses desde el último post! Sin duda alguna muchas cosas han estado pasando, pero eso será tema de otro post. Hoy les traigo el primero de muchos. Hablaremos de una pieza que me encanta debido a su versatilidad y comodidad: Los t-shirts.
Los consejos que les tengo el día de hoy son sencillos, tal como esta pieza. Comencemos!
A la hora de comprar:
Elige uno de 100% algodón. Estos les durarán por un largo tiempo y se verán de buena calidad. El hecho de que sea un básico no significa que debemos ir por cualquiera. Es mejor elegir uno de buena calidad para que le puedas sacar el jugo sin que este pierda su forma. Esta es una pieza que usarás mucho (casi todas las semanas me verás en uno!) por lo que su calidad tendrá un rol importante.
A la hora de combinarlos:
El cielo es el límite… bueno la verdad es que casi no hay límites con esta piezas. Aprovecha para combinarlo con piezas que te dan miedo o no sabes cómo combinar como los son los pantalones y faldas estampadas.
Estos también te brindan la oportunidad de crear looks divertidos ya sea que lo uses en una forma poco esperada con vestidos o piezas similares.
Los accesorios serán tus mejores amigos. Estos harán que los mismos no sean “tan básicos”.
En las únicas ocasiones donde debes ser mas precavida sobre si los usas o no son:
- Al trabajo: Esto depende de a donde trabajes. Si tu oficina tiene un código de vestimenta mas liberal elígelo! Combínalo con un blazer y estarás lista. En el caso de que trabajes en un ambiente corporativo es preferible que evites esta pieza.
- Eventos formales: Este punto no necesita mucha explicación. Si la invitación dice que el código de vestimenta es formal, evita esta pieza.
- Este punto es mas bien cuando debes dejar de usarlos. Cuando se ven muy desalineados, es decir el cuello se ve estirado o como dirían en buen panameño “bembeado” y ya ha perdido su forma es hora de decirles adios. Esto solo nos hará ver mangajos y no dejara una buena impresión.
