Hello guys!
I think it is no secret that one of my biggest accomplishments this year was launching my clothing line, SAMNA. This has been a dream of mine since I was in high school. A dream that later on became a goal and when I least expected, a reality. The road to this dream was not easy and not usual at all.
One of the first things people always ask me is if I studied fashion. Even though that was my plan when I got out of high school, I decided to go for the “safe” option and study law. For years I regretted it but as I grew older I began to appreciate the benefits of doing so. I didn’t need to hire a lawyer for any legal transaction my business would require, plus I appreciate all the years of experience I gain while working on this field.
Something I always told myself was that I wanted to be doing something I love when I turned 30. While working in the legal area I began to take weekend fashion design classes. I learn how to sew, create patterns and design. Let me tell you, those 5 hours I spend each Saturday in the class were heaven. I love learning about this field and how everything was made from scratch. Since I loved the business side too, I also took a fashion merchandising class. Now only one thing was missing: taking a huge leap of faith
When something is for you, you will figure out how to face everything that comes your way. I found a great workshop that could help bring my vision to life. It was several months of hard work. I wanted to make sure all my pieces were of good quality and different. And then the launch date arrived. It was one of the most emotional days of my life. If I told you everything that happened that day you wouldn’t believe me! It was reality show material, but when the time came for people to come in, everything went on smoothly (thank God).
Now the hard work begins. I want SAMNA to be a brand of accessible pieces, with good quality for the versatile woman of our time. Products won’t be mass produce, so if you see something make sure to get it!
This is the short version of how this brand came to life and our first collection. I hope you get to see our brand in the future and enjoy each one of our pieces.

Creo que no es ningún secreto que uno de mis mayores logros este año fue el lanzamiento de mi línea de ropa, SAMNA. Este ha sido un sueño desde que estaba en la escuela secundaria. Un sueño que luego se convirtió en una meta y cuando menos lo esperaba, una realidad. El camino para cumplirlo no fue fácil y nada habitual.
Una de las primeras cosas que la gente siempre me pregunta es si estudié moda. Aunque ese era mi plan cuando terminé la escuela secundaria, decidí optar por la opción “segura” y estudiar derecho. Durante años me arrepentí, pero a medida que crecía comencé a apreciar los beneficios de hacerlo. No necesitaba contratar a un abogado para ninguna transacción legal que requiriera mi negocio, además aprecio todos los años de experiencia que obtuve mientras trabajaba en este campo.
Algo que siempre me dije a mí misma era que quería hacer algo que me encantara cuando cumpliera 30 años. Mientras trabajaba en el área legal comencé a tomar clases de diseño de moda los fines de semana. Aprendí a coser, crear patrones y diseñar. Déjame decirte que esas 5 horas que pase cada sábado en la clase fueron el paraíso. Me encanta aprender sobre este campo y el proceso de las cosas. Como también me encantaba el lado comercial, también tomé una clase de merchandising de moda. Ahora solo faltaba una cosa: dar un gran salto de fe!
Cuando algo es para ti, descubrirás cómo enfrentar todo lo que se te presente. Encontré un gran taller que me podría ayudar a hacer realidad mi visión. Fueron varios meses de duro trabajo. Quería asegurarme de que todas mis piezas fueran de buena calidad y diferentes. Y entonces llegó la fecha de lanzamiento. Fue uno de los días más emotivos de mi vida. ¡Si te contara todo lo que sucedió ese día, no me creerías! Era material para un reality show, pero cuando llegó el momento de que la gente entrara, todo transcurrió sin problemas (gracias a Dios!).
Ahora comienza el trabajo duro. Quiero que SAMNA sea una marca de piezas accesibles, de buena calidad para la mujer versátil de nuestro tiempo. Los productos no serán productos en masa, así que si ves algo, ¡asegúrate de conseguirlo!
Esta es la versión corta de cómo nació esta marca y nuestra primera colección. Espero que veas nuestra marca en el futuro y disfrutes de cada una de nuestras piezas.
