Trying out SILK18 Shampoo from Maple Holistics

I have been a little busy lately but hopefully, everything will get back to normal soon. A few weeks ago on my Insta Stories, I showed you I got a new shampoo from Maple Holistics called Silk18 Shampoo. I was excited about trying it, since a couple of years ago I received their Tea Tree Oil shampoo and conditioner, which I really like. The Silk18 shampoo promised to give stronger and smoother hair. This shampoo is full of amino acids, which are great to restore damaged hair, split ends, dryness and reduce hair fall. A major plus is that it is sulfate and paraben free. All these benefits got me curious, so I accepted to try it.

I like to try every beauty product I get for at least 4 weeks. Since I wash my hair once a week (I haven’t been working out so it doesn’t get too greasy) I wanted to use it for several weeks before writing a review.

Week 1

My first impression was that the consistency of the shampoo was very thick. It looked and felt like a conditioner but when applied, it managed to give a deep cleanse to my hair. I massage it for a couple of minutes and then rinse it out. My hair felt a little dry after this and since I didn’t have the conditioner that goes with this shampoo, I tried another one from my stock. After it, my hair didn’t feel too dry.

Week 2

I noticed that this shampoo smelled great. When it came to the washing process I followed the same steps and switch the conditioner. I tried to use a different conditioner and treatment each week to see how my hair reacted. I also got good results and my hair looked great the whole week.

Week 3 & 4

I followed the same steps as week 1 and 2. As it did in previous weeks, my hair felt a little bit dry after using the shampoo but it went back to normal after I applied a conditioner or treatment.

Final thoughts

I give Silk18 7.5 out of 10. This shampoo can be used to solve many issues. Even though my hair is chemically treated it is not damaged. I do suffer from hair fall and I saw that the amount decrease after using this shampoo.

Would I recommend this shampoo?

Yes, I would but you have to take into consideration it is essential to use it with a conditioner to get soft hair. If you can get the conditioner of the brand it will be great.

He estado un poco ocupada últimamente pero espero que todo vuelva a la normalidad pronto. Hace unas semanas, en mis historias de Insta, les mostré que recibí un nuevo champú de Maple Holistics llamado Silk18 Shampoo. Estaba emocionado por probarlo, ya que hace un par de años recibí su champú y acondicionador Tea Tree Oil que realmente me gusta. El champú Silk18 promete dar un cabello más fuerte y suave. Este champú está lleno de aminoácidos, que son excelentes para restaurar el cabello dañado, las puntas abiertas, la sequedad y reducir la caída del cabello. Una ventaja importante es que es libre de sulfato y parabeno. Todos estos beneficios me dieron curiosidad, así que acepté probarlo.

Me gusta probar todos los productos de belleza que obtengo durante al menos 4 semanas. Como me lavo el pelo una vez por semana (no he estado entrenando para que no se ponga demasiado grasiento) quería usarlo durante varias semanas antes de escribir una reseña.

Semana 1

Mi primera impresión fue que la consistencia del champú era muy espesa. Se veía y se sentía como un acondicionador, pero cuando se aplicó, logró dar una limpieza profunda a mi cabello. Lo masajeo por un par de minutos y luego lo enjuago. Mi cabello se sintió un poco seco después de esto y, como no tenía el acondicionador que acompaña a este champú, probé otro de mi stock. Después de eso, mi cabello no se sentía demasiado seco.

Semana 2

Noté que este champú olía muy bien. En cuanto al proceso de lavado, seguí los mismos pasos y cambie el acondicionador. Intenté usar un acondicionador y tratamiento diferentes cada semana para ver cómo reaccionaba mi cabello. También obtuve buenos resultados y mi cabello se veía genial toda la semana.

Semanas 3 y 4

Seguí los mismos pasos que las semanas 1 y 2. Al igual que en las semanas anteriores, mi cabello se sintió un poco seco después de usar el champú, pero volvió a la normalidad después de aplicar un acondicionador o tratamiento.

Pensamientos finales

Le doy un 7.5 de 10. Este champú se puede utilizar para resolver muchos problemas. Aunque mi cabello es tratado químicamente no está dañado. Sí sufro de caída de cabello leve, y he visto que la cantidad disminuye después de usar este champú.

¿Recomendaría este champú?

Sí, lo haría, pero hay que tener en cuenta que es esencial utilizarlo con un acondicionador para obtener un cabello suave. Si puedes conseguir el acondicionador de la marca será genial.

Estos son mis pensamientos sobre el champú Silk18. Continuaré probando productos y te daré mi opinión sobre ellos.
