How to Style Neon Pieces

I love wearing color, especially during the summer. Neon colors began to appear at the end of last year in big quantities. I already owned a few pieces before that and love how they brightened a basic look. For those not used to wearing too much color, styling neon pieces can seem like a daunting task. Here are a few tips I follow when wearing them:

Go for denim

Denim will always look good with everything. If you have a neon top or skirt, style it with jeans or a denim blouse. This will be one of the safest combinations you can create and will look good no matter what.

Pick up neutral tones

A white t-shirt, black pants and other similar pieces in neutral colors will most likely look good with your neon piece. I know that in this post I went all out, but for those taking their first steps pairing it with neutral colors can be the way to go.

Begin small

If you think this neon trend is too much but you are still into it go for accessories with neon hues. They will be a great addition to your closet to add life to a basic outfit and to help your looks to stand out.

Me encanta llevar color, sobre todo durante el verano. Los colores neón comenzaron a aparecer a finales del año pasado en grandes cantidades. Ya tenía algunas piezas antes de eso y me encanta cómo iluminan un outfit sencillo. Para aquellos que no están acostumbrados a usar demasiado color, combinar piezas en tonos neón puede parecer una tarea desalentadora. Aquí hay algunos consejos que sigo al usar estos tonos:

Usa denim

El denim siempre se verá bien con todo. Si tienes un top o una falda en tonos neón, combínalo con jeans o una blusa de denim. Esta será una de las combinaciones más seguras que puedes crear y se verá bien sin importar qué.

Escoge tonos neutros

Un t-shirt blanco, pantalones negros y otras piezas similares en colores neutros probablemente se verán bien con tu pieza en tono neón. Sé que en este post hice lo contrario, pero para aquellos que estén dando sus primeros pasos, combinarlo con colores neutros es el camino a seguir.

Inicia dando pequeños pasos

Si crees que esta tendencia es demasiado pero te gusta, elige accesorios con tonalidades neón. Serán una excelente adición a su armario para agregarle vida a un atuendo básico y para que tu look se destaque.
