Trying out Colour

Like almost every woman out there I’m really picky when it refers to my hair. When I moved to Atlanta I spent a good amount of time going through beauty salons reviews before finally deciding where I was going to get my relaxer done. I’m so picky that despite the salon being 30 minutes away from my new home, I still made the trip last Friday to get my relaxer done. Through the years I have learned that not everyone knows how to handle textured hair and as I tell everyone I can’t afford going bald! A couple of weeks ago, Debra from Colour reached out to me so I could go try out their services. After doing my due diligence I accepted and I don’t regret it at all!
Colour is an app created by two girl bosses for women of color, in which you can request in-home styling. All their stylists know how to style textured hair. I had the Fab’rik event that Saturday so the timing was perfect. I went to their “Colour Summer Pop-Up Salon” at Inman Park and after sipping a mimosa, pampering began. Three things gave them an A in my book:

1. The products they used to wash and style my hair were all high quality

2. My hairstylist didn’t use excessive heat

3. I got exactly what I requested

This is a great service especially if you are going to an event and need a stylist ASAP.

Como casi toda mujer que conozco, soy bien exigente cuando se trata de mi cabello. Cuando me mude a Atlanta pasé una buena cantidad de tiempo investigando salones de belleza antes de decidir donde me haría mi relajante. Soy tan quisquillosa que el viernes fui al salón que he usado durante el último año que ahora me queda a 30 minutos y no a 5 como antes a que me hicieran mi relajante. Con el pasar de los años he aprendido (a las malas) que no todo el mundo sabe manejar mi cabello y si algo no quiero es que se me caiga! Hace unas semanas, Debra de Colour me contacto para que fuera a probar sus servicios. Después de hacer mis investigaciones acepte y no me arrepiento para nada! Colour es una aplicación creada para mujeres de color en el cual te llevan el salón de belleza a tu casa. Todas sus estilistas tienen conocimiento de cómo manejar el cabello texturizado. Como tenía el evento de Fab’rik ese sábado decidí ir el jueves anterior a probar sus servicios. Este verano tienen el “Colour Summer Pop-Up Salon” en Inman Park. Después de tomarme una mimosa empezamos con mi cabello. Estas 3 cosas hizo su servicio sobresalir:

1. Los productos que usan para lavar y secar el cabello son de buena calidad

2. Mi estilista no uso mucho calor para el secado del cabello

3. Hicieron lo que pedí

Este es un gran servicio en especial si vas a un evento y necesitas urgentemente de una estilista.
