Before coming to the U.S. to begin my masters program, I remember someone asking me if my style was going to change. I said no big changes would take place and that I was not going to pay attention to any spring or fall colors rules. Also, I always try to incorporate in any way I can an element that remembers me home – let it be a Panama necklace or a colorful head wrap like this one. For a time now I had been following Multi Kulti head-wraps on Instagram. I love how colorful their designs were and the endless ways they could be styled. They definitely are part of my heritage so before buying it, I began to wonder how I would incorporate such a colorful piece in my wardrobe. Since this is a basic combo I decided to try this tutorial that its founder Izmir posted on Instagram. It was pretty easy to replicate and I love how different a standard combination that works on every body type can make a 180 change when one new element is included. Another plus is that is a cute way of covering your ears during winter! I will make sure to bring you more ideas on how to include this in your outfit on the future!

Recuerdo que antes de venir a los Estados Unidos para la maestría alguien me pregunto si me estilo iba a cambiar. Respondí que no mucho, pero de que si de algo podían estar seguros era que no me iba a apegar a las reglas de colores de verano y de invierno. Usaría los colores cuando quisiera durante todo el año. Además, siempre trato de tener algún elemento que me recuerde a casa – ya sea un collar de Panamá o un turbante súper colorido como este. Desde hace un tiempo he estado siguiendo a MultiKulti Head-wraps en Instagram. Me encanta los coloridos diseños que tienen y las miles de formas en la que pueden ser usados. Sin duda alguna estos son parte de mi herencia, por lo que antes de comprarlo empecé a pensar como incluirlo en mi guardarropa. Como esta es una combinación lo bastante sencilla decidí replicar este estilo que presentó su fundadora Izmir en un tutorial en Instagram. Hacerlo fue mas fácil de lo que pensaba y le hizo un cambio de 180 grados a este outfit que funciona es todo tipo de cuerpo. Otro beneficio es que es una forma cute de mantener las orejas calientes en el invierno! Tengan por seguro que les traeré mas ideas de cómo incluirlos en su guardarropa en el futuro!
