Hello chicos!
Como les comente la semana pasada, estas primeras semanas del año me voy a enfocar en hablar sobre lo que se espera para este 2017. Me parece que uno de los temas mas importantes a abordar es la belleza. Sin duda alguna es el que mas nos preocupa a todas sin importar la edad. Como no me considero una “beauty expert” decidí recurrir a mi querida amiga Carla Calvo. En su canal de YouTube, nos trae un sin número de tutoriales al igual que reviews de distintos productos. Para los que me siguen desde hace poco, en el 2015 realicé una serie de tutoriales para las fiestas junto a ella (abajo les dejaré los links!). Esta vez me senté con ella a conversar sobre lo que nos trae el 2017 en cuanto a belleza. Sigan leyendo para que no te sorprenda lo que esta por venir!
NS. ¿Qué tendencias de maquillaje consideras que se quedarán en el 2016?
CC. En definitiva una de las tendencias que se quedaran en el 2016 será toda la locura del contouring tan marcado. Esta tendencia que las Kardashians llevaron a la fama se va a reemplazar por looks mucho mas suaves e iluminados, maquillajes casi naturales.
NS. ¿Qué tonos crees que dominen el nuevo año?
CC. Realmente este año mas que un solo tono como sucedió en años pasados, se verá una paleta de colores brillantes y vibrantes. Se vio mucho en las pasarelas, maquillajes que nos recordaban la era de los 80, así que esos tonos inesperados estarán en todo su apogeo en este 2017. Considerando que el tono del año es “greenery” ya se imaginaran como viene la cosa.
NS. Sé que estas al tanto de las últimas tendencias en el maquillaje, ¿Cuales crees que van a tomar mayor fuerza en el 2017?
CC. Este año parece que será un poco bipolar. Tenemos por un lado el look natural, ese efecto “clean skin” que parece que casi no llevas nada de maquillaje. Por otro lado tenemos su contraparte que son looks bien coloridos, con esos estilos ochenteros, para nada tímidos.
Otra tendencia que tomara mucha fuerza en este año son los labios súper “glossy” y brillantes, así que podemos irnos olvidando de lo matte que fue el 2016 y nos podemos enfocar en glosses y metálicos que iluminen nuestros labios hasta el mas allá. Así como nos olvidaremos de los labios matte, podemos también dejar atrás las sombras matte. Todo lo que sea brillante y con un acabado casi húmedo, esta “in” este ano
NS. En tu serie llamada “Productos terminados” vemos que pruebas un gran número de productos de belleza. ¿Qué producto crees que será imprescindible para esa mujer activa en el 2017?
CC. Un producto para todas las mujeres en este 2017 y en general para todo el tiempo, es un buen bloqueador solar. No me canso de decirlo. Tenemos que cuidar nuestra piel de los rayos solares que cada día tienen menos clemencia. Si cuidamos nuestra piel y la mantenemos lo mejor posible, la aplicación de nuestro maquillaje siempre se vera increíble!!
NS. ¿Qué consejo de belleza le darías a las lectoras para este 2017?
CC. El consejo de belleza que le doy a las lectoras para este año es que no hay necesidad de seguir las tendencias a cabalidad. Simplemente utilicen lo que las hace felices, lo que las llena y lo que realmente les gusta. Al final, todo esto se basa en eso – disfrutar la forma en la que queremos proyectarnos sin tampoco tener que sentir esa necesidad de que tenemos que usar maquillaje para salir y que si lo hacemos es porque básicamente lo disfrutamos.

As I told you last week, these first weeks of the year I will focus on talking about what is expected for this 2017. I think that one of the most important issues to address is beauty. No doubt it is the one that concerns us the most, regardless of age. As I do not consider myself a “beauty expert” I decided to turn to my dear friend Carla Calvo. In her YouTube channel, she brings us tutorials as well as reviews of different products. For those who began following me recently, in 2015 we did a series of tutorials for the holidays (below I will leave the links!). This time I sat with her to talk about what 2017 brings us in terms of beauty. Keep reading to get all the juice of what is to come!
NS. What makeup trends do you think will stay in 2016?
CC. One of the trends that will remain in 2016 will be all the madness of very marked contouring. This trend that the Kardashians brought to fame is going to be replaced by much softer and illuminated looks, almost natural make-up.
NS. What shades do you think dominate the New Year?
CC. Actually this year more than a single tone will be on trend. We will see a palette of bright and vibrant colors. On the runways we got to see makeup that reminded us of the 80’s, so those unexpected tones will be in full swing in 2017. Considering that the tone of the year is greenery, you can already imagine what will come.
NS. I know that you are aware of the latest trends in makeup. Which do you think will get stronger in 2017?
CC. This year it seems like it will be a bit bipolar. We have on the one hand the natural look, that “clean skin” effect, were it looks like you don’t have makeup on. On the other hand we have its counterpart that is colorful looks, with those 80s styles that are not timid at.
Another trend that will take a lot of strength this year are the super glossy lips, so we can forget about the matte lips that was in 2016 and we can focus on glosses and metallic that light our lips to infinity and beyond! Just as we will forget the matte lips, we can also leave behind the matte shadows. Everything that is shiny and with an almost wet finish is “in” this year
NS. In your series called “finished products” we see that you test a large number of beauty items. What product do you think will be essential for the active woman in 2017?
CC. A product all women in 2017 and generally for all time should have is a good sunblock. I cannot stress it enough. We have to take care of our skin from the sunrays that have less mercy every day. If we take care of our skin and we keep it the best possible, the application of our makeup will always look amazing!!
NS. What beauty advice would you give to the readers for this 2017?
CC. The beauty advice I give the readers for this year is that there is no need to follow the trends 100%. Just use what makes you happy, what fills you up and what you really like. In the end, all this is based on that – enjoying the way we want to project without having to feel that need that we have to use makeup to go out and that if we do it is because we enjoy it.
