Vibrant Lips

Hello guys!

The other day I was with my cousin in Ulta looking for an excuse to buy something. As always I was attracted to the lipsticks – as if I didn’t have more than enough already. My cousin asked me how I always went for the brightest bold colors. My response? They are fun and they look AMAZING on dark skin tones! It took me a while before being able to wear them without feeling self-conscious but now everything is allowed. Lately I have been into nude tones, especially if I’m doing a bold eye but is fun to spice things up. Here I’m wearing two completely opposite tones: a bright fuchsia and a dark green. They take me far away from my comfort zone but the result is great. It took me a while to get use to wearing bright tones but now its all about having fun. I’m neither makeup artist nor a beauty expert but I don’t let this set me back. A few months ago I would have not consider these tones and now see me here. Never be scared of any of the trends out there. It is all about what you like and what inspires you!

Hola chicos!

Hace unos días estaba con mi prima en Ulta (una tienda muy parecida a la Riviera en Panamá) buscando en qué gastar mi dinero. Una vez mas me atrajeron los labiales. Mi prima me pregunto que por qué siempre me atraen los colores mas vibrantes y fuera de lo común. Mi respuesta? Son divertidos y se ven ECXCELENTES en la piel morena! Me tomo un tiempo acostumbrarme a usarlo sin sentir pena pero creo que puedo decir que he dejado eso atrás. Últimamente he estado usando muchos tonos nude, especialmente si uso un smokey eye. Aquí usé dos tonos completamente diferentes: un fucsia vibrante y un verde oscuro. Están completamente fuera de mi zona de confort pero el resultado es hermoso. Me tomo un tiempo acostumbrarme pero siento que ahora todo se vale. No soy maquillista profesional ni experta de belleza pero no dejo que esto me impida experimentar. Hace unos años no hubiese considerado estos tonos y ahora mírenme aquí. Nunca tengan miedo de las tendencias que hay en el mercado. Como todo en esta vida hay que probar qué les gusta y qué les inspira.
